Seema P., Cheersy Coordinator

Cheersy has connected me to three things: a brilliant community, top notch clients, and new venues. Win/Win/Win.

Heather L., Cheersy Coordinator

I am so grateful for a Cheersy! I’ve been on Cheersy a year and a half and in that time frame, I’ve booked 17 events. Aside from the genuinely amazing clients I’ve booked (from weddings to mitzvahs), I’ve also been so grateful to the community. When I needed an officiant in a pinch, Cheersy pulled through and helped me save the day with an officiant who arrived hours later!

Junior Coordinator Program

Junior Coordinator Program

We are proud to offer a Junior Coordinator Program - a supportive, hands-on pathway designed for those who are new(er) to the events industry to kickstart a coordination career. It includes:

Junior Coordinators are eased into the industry via:

  • 🏋️‍♀️ Cheersy Coordinator Training

  • 💬 Support from the Cheersy team

  • 💒 Easy access to assistant gigs within the community so you can learn on the job from seasoned coordinators

The Junior Coordinator program is designed for applicants who have been the lead day-of coordinator (including on-site execution) for 6 or less events. For more details, please review our Day-Of Event Coordinator job description.

I started the Junior Coordinator program in January with transferable production and hospitality skills but limited experience outside of planning my own wedding. By the time I graduated in June, I'd assisted on 6 events with different lead coordinators/planners and I’d booked 14 weddings as the lead coordinator myself. I learned more about actually running a wedding day-of in those six months than I would have figured out on my own in years — a big part of that due to the community of coordinators who graciously shared resources, advice, and friendship. Can’t recommend Cheersy enough!

Julianne C., Cheersy Coordinator

I joined Cheersy in the fall of 2024 — two years later, I’ve booked 24+ events and gone full-time as a wedding planner. The community has been just as valuable, helping me tour new venues, get paid assistant opportunities, and build real momentum in this industry.

Anneliese G., Cheersy Coordinator

FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got answers.

Our coordinators are freelancers, meaning you get to set your availability and pricing, and only have to accept clients you want to work with.

Coordinators lead clients from vibe check through the coordination process, which typically starts 4–6 weeks out from the event. By the time the big day arrives, your clients feel truly seen & supported by you.

For more details, please review our Day-Of Event Coordinator job description.

Memberships are required to join the Cheersy community. We offer two membership options:

Not sure which is right for you? Try out our Community Membership for a month or two — you can cancel anytime! Or reach out to us at support@cheersy.com for our expert advice.

All Community and Marketplace members are vetted to ensure each member is:

  • An event professional
  • Aligned with Cheersy’s values

This helps protect the heart of Club Cheersy: a place for event coordinators to connect, learn, support one another, and build community.

Marketplace Membership includes two one-time fees: $250 for onboarding and $250 for training, both paid before your listing goes live. Once accepted, each coordinator sets a unique price that feels right based on experience and the market(s) served. You'll be paid out for bookings 48 hours after successful completion of the event day-of, and Cheersy takes 20% per booking.

Nope! Cheersy provides the booking infrastructure and client agreement, so you don't need to draft your own contract or form an LLC to get started. Coordinators operate as independent professionals on the platform and are responsible for their own insurance.

The Cheersy training program is an amazing resource, whether you're new to the events industry or in need of a refresher — and a required part of our onboarding process for Marketplace Members. Built on our team's 15+ years in events, it covers every aspect of coordination including:

  • How to book your ideal clients
  • Building a day-of timeline
  • A step by step guide to take you from kickoff call through the day of the event

Typically within 3–4 weeks! Applicants interview with our team and once accepted, onboard onto the platform. You'll then be prompted to create your Cheersy listing and voila — you're ready to start booking clients!

We are excited to launch in new cities across the US and encourage our coordinators to service as many of our locations as desired. You can set a unique flat rate for each location to match the market but we are unable to accommodate travel fees at this time.

Yes! We love community building. Both Marketplace and Community members are invited to join our Slack community and events such as venue tours, educational webinars, in person happy hours, and coworking days.

In these rare circumstances, we've got you covered! Let us know as soon as possible and we'll find another coordinator to cover the event, under what we call the Cheersy Guarantee.

Our team has 15+ combined years experience coordinating weddings and events, so we know your pain points personally. With Cheersy, you get:

  • An amazing community of coordinators
  • Direct venue introductions + tours
  • Access to resources, templates, training & workshops
  • Customers + assistant opportunities who come directly to you
  • Cheersy staff support
